Participation Waiver

By enrolling in The Desert, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation

I am participating in The Desert voluntarily and of my own free will. I understand that this is a structured challenge involving voluntary fasting and reduced consumption, and I choose to participate knowing what is involved.

2. Not Medical Advice

I understand that The Desert is not medical advice, therapy, or professional health care. The facilitators are not licensed medical professionals, therapists, or nutritionists. Nothing in this challenge should be interpreted as a diagnosis, treatment plan, or clinical recommendation.

3. Personal Responsibility

I accept full responsibility for my own physical and mental health during the challenge. I will monitor my own condition, use sound judgment, and modify or stop my participation if I experience any adverse effects. I understand that I am not required to complete any element of the challenge that I judge to be unsafe for me.

4. Health Disclosure

I have answered the health screening questions honestly. I understand that if I have medical conditions, take medications, or have any health concerns that may be affected by fasting, it is my responsibility to consult a qualified medical professional before and during participation.

5. Assumption of Risk

I understand that voluntary fasting and reduced stimulation may produce physical discomfort, emotional responses, fatigue, irritability, or other effects. I accept these as part of the experience and assume any associated risks.

6. Release of Liability

I release Metaplexus LLC, its owners, facilitators, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or costs arising from my participation in The Desert. This includes but is not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, health complications, or any other outcome related to my participation.

7. Emergency

I understand that if I experience a medical emergency during the challenge, I should seek immediate professional medical help. The challenge facilitators are not equipped to provide emergency medical assistance.

By checking the waiver acknowledgment during enrollment, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this waiver.
